I own A 1979 Chevy luv 4x4 with a Isuzu Drive train. What I want to know is, Does anyone now if someone can bolt a larger motor (I currently have a Tired stock 1979 1800cc), Preferably a V-6, But stay with the Isuzu trans & drive train?

Hello. First, there is a website devoted to chevy luvs, www.chevyluv.com I think. Those are the guys to ask about swaps and conversions. Generally speaking however, drivetrains are designed to be used with a certain engine set up. If you upgrade your engine to a 6 or 8 banger without having a transmission, rear end, transfer case, etc designed to work with a 6 or 8 banger you are only asking for trouble. If you are looking to upgrade I would think about a whole new set up front to rear. Hope this helps.
