Ok I’m new to Tucson AZ and temps dropped to the 30s (So cal guy) 8) I don’t know if this is a factor.

When the truck is cold (and my wife is driving) the brake light stays on after disengaging the parking brake. :? If she stops and restarts all is A-O-K.

She has no problem with the brakes other than the light.

No she won’t let me put a piece of black tape over the light.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Check your brake fluid. That's not just a emergency brake light, it also tells you if you are low on fluid.

Levels are fine. The only variable is the cold.

If there is a level switch in/on the brake fluid reservoir, check for moisture in the switch/connector. Lots of times when it cools, the moisture condenses and shorts the switch.
