I just bought the Trooper and I noticed that when I come to a sudden stop and then release the brake, the transmission (I think? -- it doesn't do it if I shift to neutral) clunks. Is this a common problem with these trucks? Any solution?

I also notice that the transmission will clank into park on occassion. I may be a little overly sensitive on this one.

The slip yoke needs greased. You may have a grease fitting, I don't remember which ones have them and which don't. If you don't have it pull the driveshaft, mark the orientation with the rear end.

Grease the slip yoke and reinstall. It should make it go away for a while.

you're lucky, you have a zerk fitting. So give it 3-4 pumps from a grease gun and you should be set.
